Startup Synergy-2024 on 19th October, 2024
The Baroda Management Association hosted a vibrant and inspiring event, BMA’s Startup Synergy-2024, on October 19, 2024, at the Hotel Grand Mercure Surya Palace in Vadodara. It was designed to celebrate, encourage, and empower emerging startups. Chief Guest was the esteemed Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, and other honoured guests included the renowned Padma Shri Awardee and National Film Award winner Shri Manoj Joshi, the internationally celebrated para-athlete and gold medallist Shri Shrimant Jha, Arjuna Awardee and former Indian cricketer Shri Kiran More, Member of Parliament Dr. Hemang Joshi, Mayor of Vadodara Ms. Pinkiben Soni, and MLAs Shri Chaitanya Desai and Shri Keyur Rokadia. Our Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi was present virtually through his video message for the occasion.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 320 startups, along with 150 prominent industry professionals, local leaders, and community members. Among them, 40 investors attended the presentations of 80 selected startups, with an anticipated funding of approximately Rs. 15 Crores for 22 promising ventures. A Cheque of Rs.5,11,101/- was presented to the Chief Minister for his “Kanya Kelvani Nidhi Yojana”.
Throughout the day, speakers from across India—representing startup incubation centres, industries, government bodies, and venture capitalists—shared their insights on startups, its growth and entrepreneurship. There was a special session for Women Startups and Entrepreneurs. This grand event received extensive media attention, with around 1,000 cm columns across more than 15 newspapers and broadcasts on both local and national channels. News of the event echoed widely across social media, showcasing Vadodara as a hub of innovation and collaboration for aspiring entrepreneurs.
